Terms and Conditions
 

Schaffhausen Elite Detailing (SED) – Schaffhausen, Switzerland

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Schaffhausen Elite Detailing (SED) ("we", "us", "our") and the client ("you", "your") regarding the provision of vehicle detailing services. By booking a service, you accept and agree to the following:

1. Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings are subject to a CHF 50 deposit to be paid at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

  • All deposits are subject to a non-refundable booking fee of CHF 50.

  • In the event of a cancellation, this CHF 50 booking fee will be deducted from your refund.

  • Deposits can be made by cash, TWINT, bank transfer, or debit/credit card (for website bookings), subject to availability.

  • Final payments can be made by cash, TWINT, or bank transfer, subject to availability.


     

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to appointments.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to the CHF 50 cancellation fee. We appreciate your understanding, as short-notice cancellations affect scheduling and service availability.


     

3. Personal Effects
 

  • Please ensure all personal items are removed from your vehicle prior to your appointment.

  • Whilst we take every precaution, we cannot accept responsibility for any belongings left in the vehicle.

  • Small items (e.g. coins, keys, receipts) will be placed in a bag and handed back at the end of the service.

  • Any items believed to be rubbish may be discarded.


     

4. Seat & Steering Wheel Adjustment

  • Interior detailing requires us to adjust seats and the steering wheel to carry out a thorough clean.

  • Please ensure these are readjusted and secured to your preference before driving your vehicle post-service.


     

5. Child Seats

  • All child seats must be removed prior to your appointment.

  • For legal and safety reasons, we do not remove or reinstall child seats.

  • If a seat is left in place, we will clean around it to the best of our ability.

  • We will only remove the child seat with the explicit authority of the client during the pre-inspection review.


     

6. Pre & Post Service Inspection

  • Schaffhausen Elite Detailing (SED) will complete a Vehicle Inspection both pre and post the service.

  • The pre-service inspection records the visible condition of the vehicle and identifies any existing marks, damage, or defects prior to the service.

  • Once the inspection is completed, the findings will be presented to the client for review, and the client can either agree or disagree for the service to commence.

  • If the client disagrees with the pre-service inspection, Schaffhausen Elite Detailing (SED) will not commence with the service.

  • A post-service inspection will be carried out by Schaffhausen Elite Detailing (SED) and the client upon completion of the service.


     

7. Boot & Cargo Area

  • Please make sure the boot/luggage area is emptied before any interior service begins.

  • We are not liable for items left in this area, and cleaning may be restricted if items remain.


     

8. Warranty & Product Durability

  • Product durability claims are based on manufacturer specifications, not on guarantees from Schaffhausen Elite Detailing (SED).

  • In the unlikely event of premature product failure, we may inspect the vehicle and contact the manufacturer.

  • Improper aftercare may invalidate product performance — we provide ongoing aftercare advice to help you maintain results.


     

9. Air Fresheners & Fragrance Use

  • Air fresheners or fabric sanitisers may be used as part of your treatment.

  • Please let us know in advance if you would prefer us not to apply these.


     

10. Photography/Video

  • We may take photographs or videos prior to, during, and after your detailing service for documentation and marketing purposes.

  • Where possible, we will request the client to remove number plates. Any identifiable details (e.g. house numbers, signs) will be obscured.

  • If you prefer your vehicle not to appear on our social media or website, please inform us before the service is started.
     

11. Weather Conditions

  • Adverse weather conditions (e.g. heavy rain, storms etc) may require Schaffhausen Elite Detailing (SED) to cancel or reschedule your service.

  • Coatings and special products require dry weather, and we may ask for the vehicle to be placed under cover.

  • We may reschedule or offer alternative protective coatings based on forecasted weather conditions.


     

12. Power Supply

  • We operate using our own portable power source.

  • However, we may require access to an electrical supply on the property, depending on the service.

  • Please let us know in advance if this is not possible.


     

13. Liability

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by existing faults, neglect, or improper maintenance.

  • Any concerns must be raised during the post-service inspection, and will be documented.

  • If damage is proven to result from our actions, we will resolve the matter fairly and professionally.


     

14. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

  • Schaffhausen Elite Detailing (SED) reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

  • Any changes will be effective immediately upon publication on our official channels (e.g. website, printed material, or directly via email or message).

  • It is the client’s responsibility to review the Terms and Conditions prior to each service.

  • Continued use of our services following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
